To avoid falling try to remember to:
- Look after your feet
- Keep hydrated
- Have regular eyesight and hearing checks
- Make sure that your shoes/slippers fit you well
- Take exercise to maintain your strength e.g. Tai Chi
- Have your medication reviewed
- Make sure you live in a safe environment
- If you are concerned about falling ask your GP for a referral to the falls clinic for further assessment.
